Dear Family,

I am writing to let you know that as of October 3^rd, 2008, I will not be practicing medicine at Exeter Pediatric Associates. Regretfully, I will no longer be able to be the pediatrician for your family. I have decided to leave direct patient care to pursue a different career path in the areas of heath care quality and medical informatics.

We have only known each other for a year or less. Despite this short duration of time I will let you know I have memories that will last much longer. I have made a choice to stop my clinical career and focus my efforts on a broader scope of the health care industry. I hope to continue to work locally so you may see me from time to time. I look forward to that.

The good news is that Exeter Pediatrics Associates has hired two new doctors, Dr. Kristin Calcagni and Dr. Jennifer Jones, and will likely be adding a male physician by the end of September 2008. I have met all of them and I think you will find them to be excellent. I hope you continue to choose Exeter Pediatrics Associates for your child’s care as I believe you will find no better practice in the area.

If your insurance company requires that you have an assigned PCP please contact them directly when you have made your choice of a new pediatrician.

It has been a privilege taking care of your children, thank you for that trust.
